Our Story
Life is made up of stories. Who is going to tell yours?
Highland Road Media has worked with media and event projects of all shapes and sizes. But we specialize in the little guys. We’ve found that one of the biggest pain points for small organizations is juggling all their communications needs while still focusing on running their businesses. Whether you're a one person shop who needs a wordsmith at your beck and call, or looking to launch a ground breaking out of the box project, we’re your one-stop destination. We’re small and agile, quick on our feet and ready to brainstorm. We can scale up quickly with teams of media specialists, and be your go-to media partner to your content across platforms.
We stand out because of our industry knowledge, depth of expertise, and lifetime of experience. We don’t usually name drop, but we will if it helps move your project forward. From Hollywood studios to New York media conglomerates and everything in between, we’ve been there, done that. Now let us do that for you.
We started Highland Road after the idea of taking the high road, the road the less traveled, the fork in the road - and seeing where it all goes. We love to spread that love of ideas, wanderlust, and endless curiosity to all our projects. We love being around in the beginning when someone says, “what if?” And we want to stay around until your “what if” becomes “what’s next?” Entrust us with your fledgling or established intellectual projects, and we’ll take care of them like our own.
Suzanne Bultmeyer
Founder and Executive Producer
I wasn’t that kid that grew up writing short stories or putting on plays in the backyard. I was an avid reader though, from the time I could read. Some of my amazing teachers encouraged me to write and that’s where it started, my love of the written word slowly becoming my career.
My media career started with creative writing and journalism, that lead me to a front-row seat to inner workings of Hollywood, and then a chance to live and work abroad. I leapfrogged from live sports television, documentaries, indie films, and eventually back to Hollywood. I got to film behind the scenes on giant studio sets, travel to obscure locations, attend red carpet premieres, and interview celebrities, athletes, media personalities, and corporate bigwigs. I also got to eat lots of bad food on the road, stay in awful hotels, suffer from jet lag, work insane hours, and generally not have a normal schedule for decades. So much glamour in show business.
Eventually, I moved to non-fiction storytelling outlets and found my passion helping others find their voice. So far my “Highland Road” has sent me to live in five famous metropolises, travel to dozens of countries, visit hundreds of cities and villages, and develop a strange obsession with visiting all 50 states. I’ve been fortunate to work with so many amazing crews along the way. I’d love to work with yours next.
